Writing inspiration can be found in any number of places.

For Simone Leigh, that inspiration came from walking her dogs…

“I love to walk by the sea. When I still lived in the UK, I used to go with my dogs, my ‘Gang of Four’ to walk on on the sands, by the dunes, near Lytham-St-Annes. It’s gorgeous there, and while the dogs messed about chasing seagulls or searching along the strandline, I’d watch the surf rolling in – the ‘White horses’ tossing their heads in the water. The scene fixed itself in my head, my ‘Dream of White Horses’. And then it became the title of the first part of my series, ‘Kirstie’s Tale’.”
