“I remember watching shows like Dawson’s Creek (don’t laugh, lol) back in college with my roommates. The idea of small towns, great friends, and drama was something that put the bug in my head to write my Love By Design series. I started back in 2016 plotting, but didn’t publish until 2017. I actually wrote books 3 (Heartburn) and book 7 (Mine To Keep) before any of the other stories came to life. My grumpy construction guy Hunter who had a cameo elsewhere was begging to tell his story, and his counterpart Taylor Jane was sweetly whispering in my ear about her first crush and how she couldn’t let go. Of course their story consumed me (Love Under Construction) and it set the basis for the rest of the series despite having written books 3 and 7 already, but sitting on them until I could finish them properly. Now almost three years later, eight books, and plenty of extra fun bonus scenes, my series is coming to an end. It’s bittersweet and reminds me of how all my favorite TV series ended, sad but happy at the journey the characters have taken.”
